Background: We were commisioned to overhaul the IES brand - to freshen up a dated look for an educational body that has been teaching children about Hinduism as part of their R.E. for almost 20 years.
The use of water flowing was important - indicative of the how education also needs to be constantly flowing and not stagnant.
The lotus flower was also a key feature to be incorporated - for it grows in muddy water, rising above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. Similarly, IES provides children with a fun-packed, knowledge-filled & thought-provoking presentation on Hinduism, to help children rise above the muddy water of Hinduism in R.E.
Output: Overall, we softened the previously harsh and blocky feel to the logo (see "before" above), by replacing the fonts used to serif and script typefaces. Together with the new custom-drawn lotus and water illustrations, the logo bought about a touch of elegance and sophistication to our client's brand. Our client received much praise on account of their identity re-brand.
